If you are an active member of the South African and European blockchain community, you will probably know one or more members of our team, but we would still like to take this opportunity formally to introduce ourselves. We do this in order to showcase how each individual fulfils a specific role with a unique set of skills and challenges so that, as a company, we can remain agile, fast, and on the cutting edge of decentralized technologies.
We are community-driven and provide blockchain and Ethereum development courses in Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe with our Head Quarters located in the city of Cape Town, South Africa. Our passion is to share this knowledge with those who have an interest in blockchain and Ethereum and foster a viable and sustainable community capable of shaping new technologies like this into networks that really will change the future of value.
Paul is a blockchain architect and entrepreneur with a background in venture capital and business strategy. He works with uPort and ConsenSys and is also the founder of Linum Labs. Paul studied International Affairs and Economics at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland and at the University of Cape Town. Paul focuses on enterprise training and blockchain for social good, having worked on projects with UNICEF, Barclays, KPMG and the Ethereum Foundation. He is determined to build a healthier global economy whilst working towards a decentralized future.
Andy is the Lead Architect at Linum Labs. He is our blockchain and Ethereum course instructor. He has trained and advised leading global financial service providers and consultancies and works closely with the South African Financial Blockchain Consortium. Andy has built certificate and token solutions and is involved with a proxy voting pilot-project in South Africa. He has a Bachelors Degree in Applied Mathematics and English at Rhodes University. Following this, he studied a Masters Degree in English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford. During his Masters, Andy developed an interest in crytocurrencies.
Alex is the Information Architect and Marketer at Linum Labs. He is a blockchain and Ethereum advocate. Alex heads up all business development and operations in Europe. He has a degree in Sociology from the University of Kent.
Devon is the Head of Operations of Linum Labs. She organizes all of the Ethereum meetups and courses for the company with a strong drive to develop the blockchain community through networking and resource creation. She has a Bachelors of Commerce (B.Com) in Information Systems from the University of Cape Town. Devon is inspired by the start up scene in South Africa and enjoys exploring new technologies with a focus on blockchain and digital innovation in Africa.
Megan is assisting with Community Management and Marketing at Linum Labs. She has a passion for social media management, strategy and brand awareness. Megan has a Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) in Brand Building and Management from Vega, in Cape Town.
